                                                    Charity

Mayhem Musical Theatre Company aims to support a charity for each of it’s productions.

2006:  During Godspell, we were delighted to be able to contribute to a very successful fundraising event for breast cancer campaign which helped raise over £1,000, as well as raising awareness of their work.

2007: We Will Rock You gave us the opportunity to promote the Mercury Phoenix Trust, and through the combined efforts of cast, audience and our sponsors, MMTC raised over £500. For Into the Woods we supported a local charity, the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. And during our Christmas Carol singing at Morrisons in Sutton we collected over £100, again for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

2008:  Sales of the programme and raffle tickets for our summer show Saucy Jack & the Space Vixens, helped raise funds for the Royal Marsden. Our family musical, Seussical the Musical, raised over £200 for the XP Support Group, which helps families with XP and other light sensitive conditions. We returned to Morrisons in Sutton for our Christmas Carol singing in December, again raising money for the XP Support Group.

2009: Our production of Rent in April supported the Terence Higgins Trust. Sales of the programme raised £150 for the Trust, which works to reduce the spread of HIV and provide services which improve the health and quality of life of anyone affected. In October, our production of The Wiz raised £200 for the National Deaf Children's Society and our regular carol singing in Sutton in December raised £100 for the Royal Marsden.

2010: Beauty & the Beast raised over £300 for the Make A Wish Foundation.  During Nine, we supported Action for Children which supports the UK's most vulnerable, disadvantaged and neglected children. Again, at Christmas, we returned to entertain the shoppers of Sutton and at Woodcote Green Garden centre with carols, raising over £100 for The Royal Marsden.

2011: Spring Awakening raised £85 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
